As the current Children’s Laureate Anthony Browne is a household name and arguably the most famous author/illustrator working today. Accolades include The Kate Greenaway Medal, the Emil/Kurt Maschler Award, three rimes winner, and the internationally distinguished Hans Christian Andersen Award. As such it is with great pleasure that The Illustration Cupboard presents an unrivalled exhibition of his original artwork.
On display there will be over thirty pieces of Anthony Browne’s published artwork, from his very first book Through The Magic Mirror, to the trademark gorillas features in King Kong, and the much loved characters Willy the Champ. There will also be previously unseen artwork for his book The Night Shimmy, as well as the hugely successful book Bear Hunt.
Anthony Browne will be in attendance on Wednesday 26th May to sign copies of his books.
Pieces start at £450 for original artwork, and signed first edition books are all offered at the jacket price. Entrance to the exhibition is free, and families are most welcome.
