For those not lucky enough to be going to South Africa to enjoy the World Cup, children's authors Helena Pielichaty and Tom Palmer are bringing their football reading and writing game to schools, libraries, festivals and chat rooms throughout the UK, including an online chat involving schools in Ghana.
Their popular show, known as Reads United, features quizzes, role play and a penalty shoot out, intended to encourage children to get into writing and reading through their excitement about the World Cup.
The Reads United World Cup tour will kick off at Fratton Park's Victory Lounge with 2000 children from Portsmouth primary schools. The fixture list includes:
June 21st Portsmouth Football Club
June 22nd Portsmouth Football Club
