We’re delighted to announce that four Walker titles have been shortlisted for the V&A Book and Book Cover Illustration Awards 2009.

Arabella Miller’s Tiny Caterpillar by Clare Jarrett
Ape by Martin Jenkins and Vicky White
This is a fantastic achievement with only twenty books in total reaching the shortlist.
The V&A Illustration Awards are held annually to highlight the best book and editorial illustration published in the UK in the previous year. Their aim is to encourage, recognise and celebrate high standards of creativity in the industry.
The 2009 Published award categories will be judged by Miss Patricia Routledge CBE - actress, Lionel Shriver - author and journalist, Phil Cleaver - Creative Director of etal-design, and Mark Jones - Director of the V&A.
Previous winners include Quentin Blake, Michael Foreman, Ian Pollock, Ralph Steadman, Posy Simmonds and Sara Fanelli.
