So Cosy

By Lerryn Korda

The irresistible joy of snuggling up and getting cosy together is celebrated in this funny and cheeky and heartwarming story for the youngest readers.

Dog's bed looks so cosy, Goose, Cat, the rabbits, Mummy Bear and Baby Bear, Goat and Snake and even Elephant want to snuggle up with Dog too. And so they do! By the end it's a teetering pile-up of cosiness. Until ... patter patter patter ... along comes Mouse. He climbs up onto the tip of Elephant's trunk. How tickly! In fact, it's so tickly, Elephant can't take it and he sneezes the noisiest, most trumpety sneeze, which frightens all the others away. All except Dog. Then ... patter patter patter ... cheeky little Mouse comes back. He snuggles down next to Dog. "Now this really is cosy," said Mouse. "Ever so cosy!" said Dog.

Reviews

'Perfectly pitched for the very young. An absolute delight: simply irresistible.' Red Reading Hub

'Irresistibly appealing ... satisfying tale, cleverly controlled and pitch perfect for young listeners' Books for Keeps

'This is a brilliant book for any child who loves to snuggle up in bed with their parents and siblings. . . Perfect for a bedtime read with about 2- 6 year olds its a simple tale with an element of humour and is simply a nice book. Little 5 year old Fifi felt so inspired by it that she drew her own picture based on the story. Now each time my bed becomes so squashed we shout out different adjectives like in the book. Our little bed has become noisy, trumpety, and sneezy and many more things. What fun!' Being a Mummy

'An endearing story with a structure that mirrors traditional tales such as The Enormous Turnip. Children will love the array of characters and re-enacting the pile-up' Nursery World

'Warmly and humorously portrays the animals and their antics. So much fun to share' The School Librarian
