The last Book Trade Benevolent Society 'Walkies' was held on Tuesday this week and was a huge success! Not to be outdone in the costume stakes, Walker Books put together a bone-chilling team to join the 770 other walkers around London.
We couldn’t wait to get our fangs into dressing up as ghouls, mummies, witches, vampires and zombies to promote the spookiest series this Halloween – Scream Street by Tommy Donbavand. Our route took us from Warren Street through Soho ending at a party to celebrate with all our fellow walkers.
The ‘Walkies’ is a highlight of the book trade calendar and is a great way for people involved with publishing to all get together, have fun and raise money for a great cause. The money raised on Tuesday contributed to the total amount raised over the last 13 years to £150,000.
